What are BCAAs?
BCAA, i.e. branched-chain amino acids, are among the most popular supplements used by physically active people. This is because both everyday practice and scientific research confirm their beneficial influence on the generally understood athletic ability. BCAA include: leucine, isoleucine and valine which belong to the group of essential amino acids called exogenous, i.e. amino acids that must be provided with food or in the form of a supplement as the body is unable to synthesise them on its own. BCAAs are distinguished by the fact that they are metabolised not in the liver, but primarily in muscle tissue.
Leucine- is considered to be one of the most important amino acids for the athlete's body. Leucine positively influences the process of fat tissue reduction, contributing to the improvement of body composition. This amino acid is universally used in all sports disciplines, regardless of the level of expertise. Without an adequate amount of this amino acid, the process of muscle protein synthesis is significantly slower.
Valine -- protects muscle cells against catabolism, and then increases the rate of repair processes. Valine also influences the levels and relationships of neurotransmitters, which postpones the onset of fatigue during exercise. Valine protects the liver (hepatoprotective effect).
Isoleucine-participates in protein synthesis, is responsible for inhibiting catabolic reactions, and stimulates regenerative processes in the body. Isoleucine may mediate the transformation of glucose into natural energy and regulate blood sugar levels. This amino acid supports the regeneration of muscle tissues and fibres.
Take 1 to 2 servings per day. One serving is 10 g of product dissolved in 150 ml of water or juice. On workout days: one serving before working out and one serving after working out.
